NSFP: How did these shoes find you?
GM: I got them at Reyers, the world’s largest shoe store, in Pennsylvania near where I grew up.

NSFP: Where did these shoes take you?
GM: I remember wearing them specifically this night I went out with this guy I was dating and his friends. We were supposed to see some band with the drummer from The Spin Doctors. We thought we could get in and of course we get there and nothing works out. They didn’t let us in because I was 19. It was one of those crappy nights where you’re totally inconvenienced. It was probably raining.

NSFP: How do the shoes make you feel?
GM: So self-conscious, like my general mass has increased, like, four times or something. I feel a little clumsy in them, like I’m galumphing. I imagine myself as Horton from “Horton Hears a Who.” It’s not like I’m “Pretty Woman” in my heels like a sexy Julia Roberts.
